Critical Mention Adds Instagram Tracking to Industry-Leading Earned Media Suite
NEW YORK — Critical Mention — the leading all-in-one earned media monitoring and intelligence platform — has released Instagram tracking as part of its Earned Media Suite. The new release adds to the platform’s already robust Social Media Monitoring offering, which also includes Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. In addition to Social Media Monitoring, Critical Mention also offers monitoring for the most expansive set of TV and Radio Monitoring for stations in North America. The Earned Media Suite also includes a Media Contact Database, Podcast Monitoring, Online News Tracking and access to Licensed Content, making it the most complete PR and Communications solution on the market.
“Our clients have made it clear to us that Instagram is an important social channel for brand building, so in our continuing effort to provide our clients with all the features they need to be successful, we made releasing Instagram tracking a top priority,” explained Critical Mention President and CEO Don Yount. “I also can’t say enough about the work that our engineering, product and DevOps have done. They are tireless in their efforts to provide our clients with the best suite of tools on the market, and the Instagram release is one more example of their commitment to that goal.”
This latest release from Critical Mention allows users to:
- Ad-hoc search public Instagram accounts
- Save searches for Instagram mentions in the Social section of the Search tab and get real-time alerts of their mentions
- View Instagram post type, language, follower count and publicity values
- Email clips directly from the platform and add them to reports
The release follows a number of other significant feature adds, including a Google Analytics integration, industry-first Media Contact Database features and Podcast Monitoring. The company continues to grow quickly, having increased new bookings more than 30 percent over the first two quarters of 2021. Critical Mention’s philosophy of building native, connected features internally – rather than through third-party connections – is providing value to clients through a more seamless user experience than other platforms can provide.
“Making the decision to build our features internally meant that our entire organization had to make a commitment to a lot of hard work and creative solutions. But in the end, everybody at Critical Mention felt it was worth the work to provide our clients with the best product possible,” said Chief Technology Officer Vishal Padhye. “I am extremely excited to share Instagram tracking with our users and to see them use this feature to continue growing their brands.
The Critical Mention product roadmap will not slow down in the second half of 2021, with new design improvements, content sets and analytics expected. The company continues to grow rapidly and plans to keep investing in the platform’s capabilities.
“Critical Mention has one philosophy above all else; we listen carefully to what our clients tell us and do everything we can to meet their needs,” said SVP of Sales and Account Management Zack Jenkins. “Instagram tracking is the result of that philosophy, and I look forward to continuing to put powerful tools in our clients’ hands moving forward.”
