Grand Rapids Chamber hires VP of business, talent development
The Grand Rapids Place Chamber of Commerce employed the former co-director of SpringGR as vice president of business enterprise and talent development.
The Grand Rapids Chamber said Tuesday, April 19, it appointed Attah Obande to the part. He succeeds Dante Villarreal, who now is COO of Grand Rapids Legislation Team.
Obande will serve as a member of the chamber’s leadership team and will be accountable for the strategic route of the chamber’s organization development-associated solutions and initiatives. He will oversee the talent improvement, inclusion, and small business expert services groups and packages.
“We are thrilled to incorporate Attah’s experience to our workforce as we continue to operate towards supporting our small business group and fostering a thriving and affluent West Michigan for all,” said Rick Baker, president and CEO of the Grand Rapids Chamber. “Attah’s intensive background in business enhancement and coaching entrepreneurs will be an outstanding asset for our systems and how we provide our 2,400 members.”
Obande formerly served as director of dream achievement at SpringGR, an entrepreneur growth system doing work to develop the intellectual, social and money cash of entrepreneurs with limited obtain to methods. Obande grew up in a household of business people in Nigeria. His father was an attorney in private exercise and owned a dry-cleansing business, a manufacturing unit and a faculty, and his mom owned a hair salon and style structure organization.
Obande holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Calvin University and a Grasp of Organization Administration from Cornerstone College.
